Support DK's Employees During COVID-19 Closure
First off, unfortunately, we are temporarily closed until April 27th in accordance with Mayor Bowser’s announcement today.
#SmallBusinessRelief #SmallBusinessRelief
Restaurant workers often live paycheck to paycheck and are not provided with benefits such as health insurance. At this time there is little to no cushion for workers to fall back upon. We are reaching out to our local community for support no matter how big or small. Please consider giving, during this time of mass financial hardship.
COVID-19 has put millions out of a job. Our heart goes out to everybody in this position. This decision as a restaurant is ultimately the hardest decision, we have had to make in the past 7 years. Temporarily closing our doors.
Any donation big or small will go a long way to support District Kitchen’s Staff. Once we reach a safe point as a country, where we can get back to our normal lives in a healthy and safe manner, we will open our doors stronger than ever.
Stay safe. Stay indoors if at all possible. Stay healthy.
HOW IT WILL WORK: 100% of Funds collected will be dispersed among District Kitchen's Staff. Employees will have 100% say on how these funds will be dispersed among them. Funds will be dispersed via PayPal. District Kitchen will not benefit whatsoever from funds collected in this GoFundMe outreach.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Sincerely,
District Kitchen Family
