Support Dina Whipple's Battle Against Kidney Cancer

My dear friend Dina Whipple is facing the battle of her life! On February 20, 2025, Dina is scheduled to have surgery for kidney cancer at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. Just hearing the word cancer is scary enough, but for Dina, this is even scarier because she currently only has one kidney. She is actually still making payments on this previous surgery while facing the financial burden of her upcoming surgery! Her insurance deductible is $6,500. Tampa is 3 hours away from her home, so there will also be hotel, gas, meals and other expenses that will be necessary to allow her husband to stay by her side in Tampa. We also do not know how many days they will need to stay in Tampa?

The other challenge facing Dina will be how long her recovery may take. Even if they save her kidney, she may have to be on dialysis post-op for a short time. If she loses the kidney, she will have to be on dialysis for at least 5 years before she can become a candidate for a transplant due to her cancer diagnosis. With all of these unknowns, giving Dina some financial relief will help tremendously! Even the smallest of donations will add up.
