<div>On August 3, 2025, our dear friend and colleague, Detective Jeffrey Crawford, was involved in a serious car accident that left him with significant injuries to his right hand. While we are incredibly grateful that his life was spared and that his injuries weren’t more severe, Jeff now faces a long and challenging journey of recovery that includes multiple reconstructive surgeries and extensive rehabilitation.

<div>For over a decade, Detective Crawford has been a pillar of strength and service in our department. Known as one of the hardest-working and most dependable officers we’ve had the honor to work alongside, Jeff has consistently gone above and beyond—not just in his investigations, but in the way he supports and uplifts everyone around him. He is the kind of person who drops everything to help someone in need—coworker, community member, family or stranger alike.

<div>More than just a detective, Jeff is the rock of his family and is a core member of our department. His generosity knows no limits—whether it’s stepping in to help a fellow officer during a tough time, coaching and mentoring our youth in football, lending a hand in the community, or simply being the first one to ask, “What can I do to help?” Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
