My name is Desteny Sweeney, and I am an Honors Student at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI). I am writing to seek your support for this year’s Passport to the World program, a unique learning initiative focused on cultural education through travel. The program’s next trip will take us to Japan, where we will be immersed in Japanese culture, gaining valuable experiences that will enhance both our education and personal growth.

As someone who aspires to teach English abroad after graduation, with Japan being one of my top choices, this opportunity is particularly meaningful to me.
