Hey guys, my name is Shannon. I never have even made a GoFundMe. However, this is being made for someone who has never asked for help, she has always been the most amazing, caring, loving, woman I am honored to have her as my cousin. Although this is not directly for her, it is for her son who is only 10 years old . Here’s a few updates I hate to shorten for word count but these are from my cousin Casey’s Facebook (Derek’s Mommy):

“Derek was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma ( cancer that affects your lymphatic system) he got his mediport placed last Tuesday, and started his chemo Wednesday.

So on June 18th, what should have been an uneventful trip to Valley Childrens to get his week two chemo med (Vinchristine) a quick 5 minute infusion, turned into a 15 day hospital stay… which from there he was admitted

The long two weeks began.

Initially, they werent sure if they were going to give the vinchristine (which they ended up giving afterall). He got a blood transfusion, had xrays, else, ultrasounds, the works. He hasnt able to get up and move much as he also had to be hooked up to oxygen.

He was able to come home on the 2nd.

His hair stsrted to fall out too. I left on the 29th to come back to work, so once his hair started falling out, it was a few days since i seen him, and it was a shock when i went up on my day off. Hope is learning how to crotchet, and she made him a hat. He loves it, and wears it all the time now. (Hope is a typical girl, and wants to bedazel his head lol!)

We have a radiation consultation tomorrow, and Wednesday starts his week one of his second cycle od chemo.

Him and sissy are brainstorming for make a wish options.

Right now his first option is to meet Scott Cawthon (the creater of Five nights at freddys) and something about the fnaf 2 movie.”

But he has SO MANY angels in heaven watching over and I know I’m going to try my hardest to help him especially after having my mother visit me in a dream telling me “everything is going to be ok!” I l lost my mother pretty young I was 16 turning 17. my mother has not been in any of my dreams for almost 10 years. So this was weird, my mom randomly came to me in a dream the day I found out and she told me to help and everything would be OK, I wish I had the all the money for them that they needed because Casey should not be working. She should be with her son. So all I’m asking is if you can help with anything …even if it’s a quarter, a dollar, $100 dollars would be way amazing lol or even just a prayer that would mean the world to them and especially Derek so much. Since she has to go to work and she’s not able to be working as much as she normally was doing so all the bills are just building up and up. She’s always been very close to me my whole life and that little boy is going to beat this. I know she will do the same. I love you all and thank you God bless..❤️
