<div>For more than 75 years, Dennis Kellenberger has lived a life defined by service, vision, and compassion. Many know him as the founder of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and he was instrumental in the establishment of the Florida Aquarium, two institutions that have educated, inspired, and touched millions. He played an instrumental role in “Dolphin Tale”, rescued Sunset Sam, and and Nicholas. Sunset Sam was blind in one eye and had liver issues. Dennis used Sunset Sam for therapy for special needs children within the full circle program. He also rescued Nicholas who is currently a resident at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. He can be recognized by the white on his back which was caused by a severe sunburn.

<div>Others know him from his decades of nonprofit leadership, where he poured his heart into missions that lift up children, families, and communities.

<div>I know him as my dad, dedicated Father, mentor, friend, caregiver, and today, he needs us.

<div>Recently, Dennis received the devastating news that he has a cancerous masses, lymphoma, in his abdomen, and the road ahead is filled with medical uncertainty, appointments, and expenses. At 75, most people would be enjoying retirement, resting, and spending time with family. But when Dad is asked why he still works so hard, his answer was simple and heartbreaking: “I have to.”

<div>He is the primary caregiver for my mother, and my adult sister with special needs, as well as helping often his mother‑in‑law. He carries the weight of three households on his shoulders, and he does it quietly, without complaint, because that is who Dad is.

<div>He has been working diligently with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, making a tremendous impact on their mission. His experience, his connections, and his heart have expanded their reach in ways they will feel for years to come.

<div>Dennis is a man who has spent his entire life taking care of others. Now it is time to take care of him.

<div>The financial burden of medical testing, treatment, and the loss of work during this time is mounting. I want to help my Father and relieve that pressure so he can focus on healing, not on how he will keep the lights on or care for the people who depend on him.
