Declan Amburgey, the beloved child of Michelle and Justin, suffered a devastating accident on July 8th, 2026, when a large tree branch fell and struck him in the head while he was playing in his backyard. The sheer size and force of the branch left Declan unconscious and unresponsive, prompting Michelle to call 911 and have him airlifted to the hospital as a trauma 1 case. After extensive medical tests, doctors discovered two skull fractures, a severe hematoma, compression fractures in his spine, and other serious injuries. Declan remained intubated and unconscious for some time, and even after waking, he was unable to move or speak, facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. This traumatic event has deeply affected Declan and his family, both emotionally and physically.

 Michelle and Justin are devoted parents who have been by Declan’s side every step of the way, all while caring for Declan’s siblings during this incredibly difficult time. The stress of mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the need for Michelle to take indefinite leave from work to care for Declan full-time has been overwhelming. As Declan begins his journey through future appointments and therapies, the Amburgey family needs support to help cover medical expenses, therapy, travel, and household bills.
