 Dawn Brawner is facing an unexpected and overwhelming medical crisis after suffering a badly shattered broken femur while on vacation in California. What should have been time away quickly turned into an emergency that required immediate medical care, hospitalization, multiple surgeries, and extensive treatment. Along with the physical pain and trauma of such a serious injury, Dawn is now dealing with the stress of being away from home and the uncertainty of what comes next. Because Dawn does not have health insurance, the medical bills from this sudden accident are already becoming overwhelming at a time when healing needs to be the main focus. 
 
 
 This fundraiser is being created to help Dawn with the many expenses connected to this injury and the long recovery ahead, including hospital and emergency room bills, surgeries, doctors and specialist care, follow-up appointments, physical therapy, rehabilitation, medications, medical equipment, and travel or transportation costs related to treatment. A broken femur can make even the simplest daily tasks difficult, and recovery will take time, strength, and support.
