I’ve never asked for help like this before. But I’m in a tough spot.

Hi!!

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever written. I’ve always taken pride in being resourceful, resilient, and someone others can count on. I’ve worked hard my whole life and have always found a way, even during tough times. But right now, I’m in a situation where I need to ask for help.

A consulting role I committed months of work to has refused to pay my invoice and as a single mom, this puts my son and me in a very vulnerable position. Despite all of the work I've done, I haven’t received anything. Because of that, I’m now behind on July’s rent, and August is just around the corner. Plus, I have other bills due and my car payment. Our home is everything to us, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure we don’t lose it and keep my son in a stable environment.

I’m actively working to secure new opportunities, but they’ll take time to ramp up. In the meantime, I need help to bridge this gap. Any amount, whether it’s twenty-five dollars or one hundred dollars or more, would go directly to our rent, car payment, and essential bills. And if you can't help, sharing this would mean so much.

If you’re able to support in any way, please know that I will personally pay you back when I’m back on my feet. Your kindness in this moment won’t be forgotten.

Some of you know me well. Some may be seeing this for the first time and the first our paths have crossed. And for others, maybe it’s been a while since our paths last crossed. I’ve always believed in the power of community and the way we show up for each other when it matters most. Today, I’m asking for that grace, and I’ll carry it forward in every way I can.
