<div>My name is Dana, and I started this fundraiser to support our dear friend David and his family. Our wonderful friends Maria Stan and Emil Stan are going through the most challenging times of their lives since their son David was diagnosed with Leukemia.

<div>David Stan is one of the sweetest 13 years old boys you will ever meet. He is sweet, kind, intelligent, and loving. David loves attending school, reading, attending church, learning about God, playing video games, and spending time with his family. David's newest hobbies are building Legos and collecting Pokémon cards. His dream job is to become a pediatrician.

<div>He has been fighting the most challenging battles of his life since September 15th, 2023, when he was diagnosed with AML Leukemia after feeling ill and being taken to urgent care. He has been hospitalized at Loma Linda Children's Hospital and will need to stay in the hospital until the end of March 2024. AML is a very aggressive blood and bone marrow cancer, and it is rare in children. David has been receiving chemotherapy treatments and blood transfusions and undergoing various procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures. Besides chemotherapy treatment, David needs a bone marrow stem cell transplant, which is supposed to take place in January 2024.

<div>David's sister, Emma, was identified as a 100 % match donor for the transplant but is pending genetics testing results to move forward.
