Update: 9-20-24
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated up to this point. Your generosity has been astounding. As always, I would like to thank God for the opportunity to connect with you all. I will continue to provide updates on my progress, and appreciate all of you who are willing to take this journey with me. Thanks again.
Hello! My name is David Graffagnini, and I am an avid runner and songwriter living in Texas. After getting into some legal trouble, I spent 8 months in a sober living facility while rebuilding my life. I worked at a pizza restaurant for a few months until I saved enough money to Uber to Austin, where I got a job at a coffee shop. For the next four months, I walked to work every day and eventually picked up two jobs: working graveyard shifts at the coffee shop and as a group fitness instructor at a nearby gym. After working both jobs for a while, my father helped me purchase a vehicle. I met a girl at the gym, fell in love, and together we started a juice company called Fruitful, selling juice at the local farmers market every Saturday.
It was exhausting, but I wanted to continue pursuing my goals as an entrepreneur and writer. I quit my job at the coffee shop after my 40-year-old sister tragically died of a drug overdose, and my mom was hospitalized with severe health issues. I continued working at the gym and running the juice business, doing my best to support my mom. I left sober living and moved in with her, splitting my time between her apartment and my girlfriend's house.
Then I became the victim of an assault, as my girlfriend physically attacked me at a Wendy’s drive-through. Since we were business partners, I was no longer able to continue operating the juice business. Around the same time, my sister's 18-year-old son, who was living in Georgia, had problems with his father, who went to jail. My nephew decided to move in with my mom, so I relocated back to my college town to live with a friend.
Since then, my car has broken down, I lost my job at the gym, and my mother is still facing severe health problems, struggling to support my nephew and me. I am working hard to make progress in life but have encountered difficulties receiving benefits from my local government. I have had many sleepless nights, now sleeping on the floor or a couch, with no transportation and very limited funds for essentials like food and clothing. I am seeking help.
The funds will be used for monthly expenses such as food, housing, clothing, and transportation.
Thank you for your consideration.
