Support Dave’s Covid Recovery
On Christmas night, our father, Dave Vernengo, was admitted to Kaiser Hospital in Fresno, CA. He was unrecognizably weak after having a persistent cough, and had difficulty breathing. His test that night revealed he was positive for COVID-19, with secondary pneumonia. With acute care and exceptional medical attention, as well as the prayers and support of all our friends and family, he has been kicking COVID-butt!! He has been stable and feeling better each day.
We are happy and exceptionally lucky to say that he is now on the road to recovery and out of the woods. With plans to be discharged and quarantine at home soon, there’s many things that would be very helpful to support him so that he may focus on continuing to heal his body and take care of himself.
We have created this fund for family and friends that would like to help support our dad, Dave, with his recovery and self-care process. Dave would be able to use the funds to help take care of items such as medical bills and other expenses, groceries, delivered meals and food (most important after his week of hospital food), and personal care items, and, of course, masks.
Any amount is greatly appreciated. We love you all and thank you for all the support. Please stay safe, stay healthy, know your status by getting tested, and wear a mask.
