My name is Chelsea Fralix. I am raising money to help my Aunt Darla Ritter & her family. Many may know her from her school bus route in McNairy County, as she was a driver for over 30 years. Recently, she has encountered some life-threatening health issues (Necrotizing Fasciitis, Cardiac issues, & now pneumonia) and was flown to Memphis 2/17/25, where she is still admitted. Thankfully, she has made great progress and is no longer on the ventilator, the infection has improved, but her recent cardiac event has led to more issues. Not only has her family had to make the back-and-forth trips to Memphis, paying for hotel rooms because no one can stay in ICU with her (roughly $2,000), gas, and food, they have all missed a lot of work. Her deductible for the hospital stay is thankfully on a payment plan, but it is $2400.

If you know them, you know they're not ones to ask for help, but I got with them about making this because she has a long road ahead. They told her to expect roughly 6 months of inpatient treatment at a skilled nursing facility for extensive wound care, physical therapy, and cardiac rehab. The copay for this is $3300, plus $200/day. Due to income limits, she does not qualify for Medicaid. She has an upcoming appointment for disability in March, but we all know how long that can take.
