Support Darian Ricks' Dental Hygiene Dream

My name is Darian Ricks, I was an enrolled student at SJVC’s Dental Hygiene, but due to financial circumstances I’ve had to withdraw. I’m desperately trying to return to my program to finish strong as I only had one more semester until completion. Being a dental hygienist has been a major goal of mine for as long as I could remember. As a kid their work fascinated me, the intricacies of the cleaning and knowledge of how vital dental health is to overall health impacted me greatly. I never really saw hygienist that looked like me however and I didn’t see a lot of people from my community visiting the dentist office regularly. I’ve long since wanted to add to the diversity of this industry showing more kids like me a bigger avenue of career options and to also increase the general knowledge and health practices within minority communities. With your generous donation you can help me to get back into my program and finish so that I can start my career and assist my community in the wonderful and necessary field of dental hygiene, helping to promote beautiful smiles and create healthy mouths for everyone.
