Support My Daughter’s Journey to Become an Advocate for Justice and Survivors of Domestic Violence
Hi, my name is Doc and I'm reaching out to help support my daughter Daniyah, who is about to graduate from Penn State University on December 22nd 2024. After years of hard work and dedication, she will graduate with two Bachelor’s degrees one in Criminology and one in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. This milestone is just the beginning of her incredible journey to make a lasting difference in the world.
Since high school, Daniyah has dreamed of becoming a lawyer, with the goal of fighting for those who have been wrongfully convicted. Now, as she graduates, her passion has evolved into a new vision: to pursue a career in public service, focusing on advocacy for survivors of domestic violence.
Her dream is not just to become a lawyer, but to open an advocacy center that will provide comprehensive support to survivors—especially children, who are often the forgotten victims of intimate partner violence. She plans to pursue law school in Fall 2025 and hopes to use her legal education to create a center offering not only legal support but also psychological services, food, shelter, financial assistance, and job placement for survivors. Her goal is to break the cycle of violence and provide children and adults with the resources they need to heal, rebuild their lives, and thrive.
As she embarks on this next chapter of her journey, Niyah will be moving to Boston to begin preparing for law school. However, the road ahead will be challenging and expensive. She will need support to cover the costs of preparing for and taking the LSAT, as well as other expenses related to her law school applications and eventual move to Boston.
That’s where you come in. We are asking for your help to support Niyah as she works to turn her dreams into reality. Your generous donation will go directly toward helping her with:
LSAT preparation materials and test fees
Law school application fees and related costs
Moving and relocation expenses for her new chapter in Boston
Scholarships and grants to ease the financial burden of law school
We know that the work Daniyah hopes to do advocating for justice and supporting survivors of domestic violence will have a profound impact on countless lives. Your support will not only help her achieve her dreams, but it will also help bring her closer to making a real difference in the world.
Thank you so much for considering a donation and for supporting Daniyah on this incredible journey. We are so grateful for every bit of help and encouragement along the way.
With gratitude,
Doc Richardson
