Support Dan Schoenheider Recovery

This summer Dan Schoenheider traveled to Utah help a young friend build a home. He was really excited to explore the Mt. Zion area and do the type of work he knows and loves. Unfortunately, while working on building the roof, Dan's ladder twisted and he  fell six feet hitting his head on the concrete below. He was knocked out from the fall and it lead to a massive brain bleed. He underwent brain surgery immediately. While the surgery went well, after the surgery Dan lost mobility and the ability to talk.

Dan has spent nearly two months recovering from his accident in a hospital in St. George, Utah. There was no way to get him back home to Illinois, so his wife Cindy took leave from her job to be there with him in Utah.  Good news is that thanks to the wonderful hospital staff and Dan not giving up he has started talking again and is slowly re-learning words and concepts he used to know. He has also seen a lot of progress physically and will be able to go home soon (his one wish), but will need to continue rehab after returning home.

How can you help? Dan has received excellent care, but medical bills are piling up after such an extensive hospital stay. We are asking for donations to pay current medical bills and any future care or treatment to support Dan's recovery.  

Those of you who know Dan are aware that he has helped many people over the years. In his ten years as a Church Bishop and as a friend and neighbor over his lifetime. This is your chance to help someone who has helped others in need.
