<div>Hi, my name is Cruz. I am a scholarship and financial aid student at Pepperdine University. My 3 roommates Adam, Taka, Leo, and I have just lost everything in our apartment due to the <strong>Palisades Fire</strong>. Our apartment building completely burned down and there is nothing left.

<div>The morning the fire started, I had left the house early to go to my part-time job at a hotel. A coworker noticed the smoke in the air and informed me it was taking place in Pacific Palisades. By the time I learned this, it was already too late to go back to save our stuff because the roads were closing and the evacuation had already started. Luckily Adam, Taka, and Leo were safe because they were home for winter break.
