Against all odds, she was blessed with Livia and Gaetano—her greatest joy and the reason she’s been fighting so fiercely these last 16 months. She pushes through each day not to miss the milestones, the giggles, the little moments that mean everything.

<div>Now <strong><em>Cristina is battling medical refractory Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH)</em></strong>—a rare, serious condition that causes dangerously high pressure around the brain. Despite exhausting every treatment, her condition has progressed. The next step is a series of complex neurosurgeries followed by ICU recovery and monitoring.
