My name is Cora brady and I am starting this gofundme to ask for some help as my last resort . If you know my father he has been sick for quite a few years with cardiomyopathy. About 7 years ago they decided to transplant an LVAD machine to give him more quality as well as extend his life . For 7 years we were told a heart transplant will most likely not happen due to other issues. Last February everything took a turn for the worst , he ended up with a serious blood infection . After 3 months in the hospital and life long antibiotics we were not sure how much time we had left . A few weeks ago he was feeling extremely sick for a about a week or so and decided to call his doctor , he was brought in and told his machine is infected and they needed to consider other options as the antibiotic wasn’t doing its job . Now he is being considered for a heart transplant! The one thing we thought that would never happen . He has been through the process at Jefferson in Philadelphia , but was sadly told no because the lack of support for after care . After speaking with some doctors they recommend that he comes to Colorado with myself and my family as we can provide all the support he needs. Unfortunately I just do not have all of the funds for travel , getting his belongings here as well as purchasing him things such as a bed . I understand everyone is experiencing hardships in today world and if you can’t donate a share means everything . Also anything helps and is extremely appreciated from both my father and our family .
