Support Connor's Journey to Beat Cancer

Mashpee Permanent Firefighter’s Local 2519 wishes to convey a message from Brother Connor Peltier regarding the established GoFunMe. 

 

“I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of support and donations from all of you. This has been a long journey so far and it is not over yet. I have decided to end the donations for the GoFundMe started by Local 2519. This is impart due to my insurance starting to cover my experimental treatments, and deductible obligations being satisfied. 

I want to thank all my family, friends, strangers and colleagues for the generosity through their donations. Your kindness and charity has shown now more than ever. I understand now that nobody fights alone. My battle is not yet over, but my financial burden is now easier thanks to the immeasurable kindness of so many. Again thank you all.”

Connor Peltier

The Mashpee Permanent Firefighters Local 2519 is humbly asking for the public’s support with outstanding medical bills for one of our own. Firefighter Connor Peltier, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma and undergoing aggressive treatment. Not only is he receiving treatment, but also trying to work (fulltime) to offset mounting medical bills. Unfortunately, due to insurance and liability language he is NOT covered for job related coverage. As he embarks on his treatment journey, it has become clear that the medical costs are substantial, and unfortunately, many of these expenses are not covered by insurance.

To help alleviate the financial burden on Connor, his family and our small union are setting up a GoFundMe campaign. This platform will allow friends, family, and compassionate individuals from near and far to contribute whatever they can to support him during this challenging time.

Our goal is to raise funds that will help cover the uncovered medical expenses and provide Connor with the care he needs to fight this battle. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and will be deeply appreciated.
