<div>This is a story the Wilkum family didn’t think they would ever have to tell. Connor, 17, a Waukesha North senior and an avid football &amp; baseball player who was normally healthy and strong is in much need of our prayers.
</div>
<div>Connor started having headaches since December that have been progressively getting worse. There have been multiple trips to urgent care, ER and finally a neurologist. The MRI with the neurologist was set up for Tuesday to find the cause of the excruciating headaches. Needless to say, Monday was his worst day ever.
</div>
<div>After not feeling good after lunch and his mom getting alerted by his friends, she had to call 911. They took him to Waukesha Memorial where a brain scan was done and it came back abnormal due to findings of fluid and a mass on the back of the brain. Connor had 3 seizures before being tranferred to Children’s Hospital due to the severity of the problem. Within an hour of arrival at Childrens Hospital he had emergency brain surgery to reduce the pressure and fluid on the brain and to help the brain swelling to subside. An MRI was scheduled and the results were not what we were hoping for.

<div>After meeting with the surgeon &amp; other physicians they informed us they found a 3cm tumor near the back of his brain and also parts have spread to his spine. They advised it is an aggressive type and they must act fast. The doctors were unable to see the sides of the tumor to determine if the tumor shows signs of being cancerous. It will be sent to pathology to determine. We should hopefully know the pathology results by Friday. A 10+ hour surgery is scheduled for Thursday January 30th to remove the mass.

<div>As you know, we have a village to support &amp; pray for the best possible outcome. With the unexpected emergency they have endured, they now have unexpected medical bills. It would truly be a blessing if their friends, family &amp; community came together to lift some of the weight off of this amazing familys' shoulders. With the unexpected medical emergency also comes loss of work as Karrie &amp; Steve will remain by Connor’s side during this hardship.
