Support Cole's Recovery After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
My name is Rachel and I am friends with Shawna, Cole Tveter’s mom and I am starting this gofundme page to help Cole and his family.
On Monday night, September 9th, Cole was in a tragic dirt bike accident. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. After many tests it was determined that Cole has very severe spinal cord injuries. He fractured his thoracic spine, and his cervical spine and also fractured his collarbone.
Cole went into surgery early Tuesday, 9/10, to operate on his spine which ended up being over an 8 hour surgery. The Neurosurgeon told his mom, Shawna, that he may not walk again. As of 8:00am, Wednesday, 9/11/24, Cole was able to squeeze Shawna’s hand. They are waiting for an MRI to evaluate his spine/neck and they are going to try to extubate him this afternoon.
As a mom of two boys myself, I can’t imagine what she is going through. We are all so thankful Cole is alive, but not knowing what the future holds for Cole is very scary.
As we all know medical care is SO expensive and Cole has a very long, hard road ahead as do his parents. Cole is a hard working, fun loving, energetic, thriving young man and this is a huge diversion in his life plans.
I will be making updates for his mom Shawna and Jason along with his dad, Chuck and Marissa as they are received to help the burden of updating everyone individually. Please know that Cole and his parents are thankful for all the prayers and thoughts that are being sent their way. If they do not respond right away, please understand this is a very stressful time for them all.
Please donate anything you can to Cole and his parents so they won’t have to worry how his bills will be paid. Money is the last thing they should be worrying about right now while he is healing and figuring out what is next!
