Sunday on November 10th, my dad (Cliff Neves) went into Lower Umpqua Hospital for chest pains. (He had a heart attack) From there he was ambulance’d to Bay Area Hospital where he stayed for 2 nights, (they did a bunch of imagining and testing and found that he needed open heart surgery) so they ambulance’d him to Sacred heart. Where he stayed roughly 10 days for a quadruple bypass open heart surgery. He came home 5 days after surgery. Yesterday, (November 29th) he called 911 complaining of chest pains, and shortness of breath again, Lower umpqua hospital immediately called sacred heart and talked with his surgeon, sacred heart said to get him on a life flight to them immediately. So that’s what they did. My dad is now in the ICU at sacred heart again. They found that he now had fluids and a blockage around his heart so they need to do another open heart surgery. The second one in less than 3 weeks. He is very weak, very frail right now.. we are praying for him as my mom hasn’t left his side thru this. Here’s what I’m asking.

My family has lived here 30+ years, my parents were foster parents for many many years, they are very active in the community, they are the type of people who’d give you the shirt off their back if you needed it.

My mom ( Dora Neves) is the only one supporting them

financially. She has missed so much work, to be with him. They still have little kids at home, they have an almost 9 year old son and 14 year old daughter who depend on them. My dad has been retired for a few years but has worked part time here and there, but with all of these surgeries, ambulance rides, and a life flight, their insurance more then likely will not cover all of this. On top of this it’s Christmas season, and they still have every day bills to pay as well and birthdays this month too.. they are not the people who ask for help. But they need it. This next surgery will happen in the next day or two, it will be another atleast week long stay, and more then likely my dad will need to go into a rehabilitation place afterwards. I’m not sure what all of this will cost them, that’s why I set it to 15k.
