<div>My girlfriend, her family, and I are completely torn and heart broken over our boy’s situation.

<div>As the main caregivers for CJ, we are at a loss and in need of assistance whether it is in the form of donation, prayer, or sharing of the post.

<div>Our baby Chunky Boy Jr (CJ) is turning 4 in February, and over the weekend, he started stumbling around the house, falling over, excessively drooling, walking in circles, pacing, and his eyes were twitching from left to right. CJ also has been struggling with eating and drinking for the past couple of weeks. We have been hand feeding and giving water via syringe for weeks.

<div>We managed to snag a last minute Neurology appointment and was told his suspected diagnosis is Meningoencephalitis of unknown Etiology (MUE).

<div>Genetics and the immune system are likely involved in Meningoencephalitis of unknown Etiology (MUE) in dogs, but the exact cause is unknown and there's no current test that’s flags this diagnosis prior to initial symptoms. Meaning, there are no tests I could have done to prepare myself for CJ’s current state and that MUO is not traceable.

<div>The Neurologist is recommending an MRI and spinal tap to help determine his exact diagnosis. Then recommending Hospitalization for around the clock care and meds. For now until we save the money for the further diagnostics, we went home with an antibiotic and steroid and have a follow up appointment with the Neurologist in a week.
</div>

<div>If we could just get the MRI and spinal tap done, the Neurologist would be able to determine the proper treatment plan for his hospitalization and medications after hospitalization. Right now it’s a huge risk treating and not knowing the exact diagnosis. Per the Neurologist, his current diagnosis of Meningoencephalitis of unknown etiology is life threatening and CJ could pass away in weeks if not treated accordingly.
