<div>This is our adorable little orange kitten named Colby Jack, or as we call him: <strong>CJ</strong>. He is mischievous and curious but incredibly sweet and affectionate. On 08/24/25, he knocked over a very heavy object that landed on his arm. On 08/25/25, we took him in for an x-ray, which confirmed that his arm had been broken. We splinted his arm since the quote for surgery was well out of our budget. We opted to try just splinting his arm to see if we could line it up to naturally heal. He seemed to be in less pain and back to his normal self, until 09/05/25 when we took him in to change his splint. We got follow up x rays on this visit which showed that the fracture is only getting worse. As shown in the attached x ray, the two separated ends of the broken bone are now overlapping each other, being pulled apart by the attached ligaments (original x ray is to the right and the most recent to the left). In short, it will not be possible to just merely splint the arm. The vet gave us 3 options: surgery, amputation, or to put him down. The third is simply not an option for us, but the vet only gave a window of about a week or 2 until we have to make a decision. We really need help to get surgery or amputation. We are looking into a variety of options under these two options. However, we need financial help as have tried everything to finance such an expense. We tried applying for Care Credit, and neither of us was approved. Our income is considered too high to qualify for financial support from all the non profits we looked into. We certainly did not want to have to be put in this situation but we simply have no other choice but to desperately ask for help.

<div><strong>My wife and I so desperately want our little furry baby to get the care he needs so we can save his life and not have to put him down just because of money.</strong> <strong>We are all so heartbroken and just want our little boy to get better and to live a long, fulfilling life with us. </strong>We would love and appreciate any amount donated to help him get the care he need, whether it be surgery or amputation. Thank you all so much!
