Support Carolyn’s (CJ) Journey to walk again...

Shattered. Our world was shattered on 10/21/22 with that dreadful phone call...

"Hi, I'm a nurse here at Northwest Texas Hospital. Your mom has been in an accident. She's about to undergo emergency surgery."

The gruesome details followed...lower back fracture, left femur fracture, pelvic fractures, both hips shattered and head injury.

Our mother, CJae, as she is affectionately known, sustained life-threatening injuries that were so severe she had to be airlifted to a Level Three trauma center.

Surgery after surgery was needed to stabilize her, for a total of four procedures in one week. Multiple blood transfusions, tubes running through her, staples in her face, metal rods in her legs, a reconstructed pelvis, and hip replacements to put her body back together...not to mention the excruciating pain through it all.

Her life has been shattered! She is unable to walk and is facing a long road to recovery. When she is discharged from the hospital, she will require 24-hr care and costly long-term skilled rehabilitation.

Mom has always been resilient through all her trials and tribulations...a real soldier...kind-hearted, and always willing to help those in need. She has consistently beaten the odds, always pushed through, and never saw a closed door...only a challenge to overcome. She has been a rock to us and so many others.

We are simply grateful that she is alive! We humbly ask our family, friends and all those whose lives she has touched to assist in whatever way possible to help our mother to receive the rehabilitative care she urgently needs.

Your contribution, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated towards achieving the estimated $75,000 - $100,000 in rehab costs she will need to be able to walk again.
