<div>Cierra Sansom is a 16 year old girl who has been recently diagnosed with at least one type of Ataxia and doctors are thinking there may be multiple others as well (still more tests are to come).

<div>Sensory Ataxia is the 1st type.
</div>
<div>This means in short that her brain and her nerves are not connecting anymore. Somewhere, somehow in her life, the connection was severed. They believe it is genetic.
</div>
<div>Regardless, there is no treatment, there is no way to stop it or to slow it down and the condition is progressing very quickly.
</div>
<div>This means that she will need a wheel chair and any other medical devices the doctors think she will need in the near future.
</div>
<div>Sadly her mom, Sarah Sansom, was told that this also means she will likely be in a wheelchair full time before the age of 25 ( she is almost 17) and possibly sooner.
</div>
<div>We are completely devastated that this sweet, energetic child, will no longer be able to do all the things she used to do, and will soon become very limited altogether in her mobility.
</div>
<div>Her mom, Sarah Sansom, was talking to her main Neurologist today, January 9th, and he is telling her that her future will consist of many appointments, tests, etc. Her mother Sarah Sansom, whose husband, Jacob or as many knew him, Jake Sansom, was murder cold blood in 2020; will have to be the one to bring her to all the above and to provide for all of her medical needs.

<div>As of now her mom Sara Sansom, is working 2 jobs, just to keep a roof over their heads and pay other bills to support her other two children as well. Dealing with multiple trips to Calgary each month, plus multiple local appointments for physio, speech therapy, etc., each week can be very challenging for a widow with three children.

<div>This is just one more massive hit to this beautiful family. We are devastated that our sweet Cierra Sansom will never dance, jump, run, ride a bike or anything else ever again.
