<div>On Friday morning, Chuck suffered a stroke. Thanks to quick action and the skill of some of the world’s finest surgeons, he underwent emergency brain surgery that night and—true to his fighting spirit—he’s still with us.

<div>This was an unexpected and serious setback on top of his heart surgery recovery. Thankfully, as his family shared, “<em>The man with the titanium heart lives to fight another day</em>.”

<div>On the 29th anniversary of owning and operating Luigi’s Pizza—Chuck Kamrowski, the heart and soul behind one of our most beloved local spots—is facing his toughest challenge yet.

<div>Chuck, who was born with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, underwent surgery as a child and has defied the odds for decades. Over the years, he’s continued serving our community with incredible food, warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication. Many of us have not only shared meals at Luigi’s but also memories, friendships, and milestones.

<div>Now, Chuck is undergoing open-heart surgery—a major procedure that will require extensive recovery time. As a true mom-and-pop operation, Chuck and his family are the ones behind every pizza, every smile, and every bit of the magic that makes Luigi’s so special. With the restaurant temporarily closed, the financial strain will be significant as Chuck focuses on healing.
