Hi, my name is Jacqueline Eastridge. I love ruffled potato chips, coffee , knitting and ultras. It was 19 years ago at the age of 46, I ran in my first RacingthePlanet 250km seven day, self-supported ultra in Egypt. It was an epic week of highs and lows and yes, I thought about quitting. My greater purpose for running is what kept me going. I was raising money for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Several weeks before the race, I had visited several children who were waiting for a heart transplant. Their upbeat and cheerful voices and laughter is what I heard when I was at my lowest point in the desert. For the grace of God, I had only walked through the doors of CHOP as a visitor or volunteer. On Setember 28th, I will once again join over one hundred runners from around the world, on a seven day, self-supported 250km race in Greece. Once again, I will be raising money for CHOP which is dedicated to advancing healthcare for children, offering not just exceptional medical care but also pioneering research and education. Since 1855, they have been at the forefront of pediatric medicine, creating breakthroughs that save lives and improve the health of children everywhere.
Your generous donations can make a significant difference in the lives of countless families facing challenging health conditions. Together, we can support their vital work in the following ways:
- Funding innovative research initiatives that lead to new treatments and therapies.
- Providing high-quality, family-centered care that ensures every child receives the best possible experience during their hospital stay.
Please consider donating to this important cause. Your support means the world to those children you may never meet but each of whom have a name and a right to the best medical care available to them.
Thank you for taking the time to read the above.
Cheers, Jacqueline
