A note from Paige & Suz
To adequately give an introduction of Chelsea Troutt would be a failed attempt and not even scratch the surface of how incredible she is. To know her is to love her, and to be loved by her (big emphasis on being loved by her). She has always been a caregiver and has leaned into this gift and passion by becoming a nurse, teaching others how to care for others, and caring for her own family. Chelsea’s son, Luca, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth and has endured many treatments, surgeries, and lifestyle adjustments. Chelsea and her husband, Park, are very familiar with the world of caring for an immune system. The three of them work hard to stay healthy and happy, and they do a pretty dang good job!
In August 2023, Chelsea underwent surgery after experiencing some discomfort in her chest. A mass was discovered during the procedure. Shortly after this tough surgery, Chels was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is our body’s germ-fighting immune system. When diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, white blood cells called lymphocytes grow out of control, causing swollen lymph nodes and growth throughout the body.
To care for this cancer, Chels will fight the good fight by undergoing chemotherapy. We all know how tough she is, and we are confident she will kick this in the ass. But that does not eliminate all that comes with cancer. With these treatments come mental, financial and physical tribulations.
We have set up this GoFundMe to help support The Troutt Family to help supplement food, gas for appointments, medical bills, and any other support they need. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated. On behalf of her entire family and loved ones, we thank you, from the bottom of our heart, for loving Chels so well and helping her on this journey.
