<div>I am unfortunately at a place where I need to explore emergency options  and as much as the feeling of not wanting to burden others by making my issues everyones, I dont have any options.

<div>If im honest, I was in no position to be moving earlier this summer. I couldnt afford it but I had no option. The rent I was paying was already killing me and I budgeted DOWNN to make sure I had at least food. But I made it work!

<div>Since, finding emergency accommodation while waiting for the apartment I live in now to be ready, dealing with a flood that ruined much of my belongings I brought on hand, and paying for uhuals and and storage in between, I have expended savings - And everything I was able to make for Pride I had to spend getting my new space set up in July. Pride season  I was living with a sliver of floor space and towers of boxes. My last apartment had ample horizontal space and no vertical and my new place is the opposite. Its a small tight apartment with high ceilings. I ended up having to throw most of my furniture away given I couldnt use it and my roomates were pretty adamant about not having extra belongings in our very small space- leaving me to start from scratch. Now, post July, I have everything unpacked, furniture for my space and a conviction to get out there but no fall back to pay this months rent. I was out and about accepting projects outside of drag that I could manage without overloading in July, but was not able to keep any of that money as it went straight into the apartment and Im out 1500. It grosses me out to be in such a state of emergency more than I’d like as my goal with art/ drag is to storytell and connect and earn what I do based on merit so Im feeling very vulnerable laying it all out on the table but I dont have a support system to outsource from. I grew up in ping ponged around the foster care system and am very use to providing for myself but unfortunately not very used to having people in my nuclear sphere to depend on.

<div>There has been no loss on trying to find consistent employment or work in general. I apply to a million places, am mostly ghosted, often rejected for not having specific niche experiences despite my 10 years of diverse background and sometimes get the interview but Im still freelancing until a lead pans out.

<div>I budget FIERCELY and everyone who knows me intimately knows I dont galavant and spend recklessly. I keep my head down and try to keep my finger on the pulse of my life because Im aware that’s my responsibility. Everything I do in drag and out - down to hair shoes outfits and makeup is either sisterly discounted, made from street and thrift finds, or from the  99 cent store.

<div>anything helps if you find it upon yourself to help. Being in a transitional period in my life is so daunting but I’m not one to give up. I know I can operate out of a state of emergency and be at a place of ease and I just need a huge favor and community support to get me there.
