<div>Hi everyone. For those of you that don’t know us, we’re the Rumple family. My name is Danielle. I’m the wife to the most amazing husband and a mother to our two beautiful little girls. I can’t forget that we’re also dog parents to a very sassy Boxer and a clumsy English Bulldog. Never in a million years did I think I’d be here trying to write this, but we want to share our story.

<div>My husband, Chase, is a perfectly healthy and strong 26-year-old. He works a very labor-oriented job as a foreman for a utility company and loves what he does. For anyone that knows Chase, you know his love for making people laugh and his personality is one of a kind. In the summer, you can find him riding his dirt bike (a little too fast for my liking) or perfecting his chipping technique in the front yard with our 2-year-old daughter. He’s the most dedicated husband, father, and friend to those around him and like his mom says, “To know Chase is to love Chase.” As his wife, I couldn’t agree more.

<div>Starting in January of this year, Chase was struggling with what we thought to be the typical “season of sickness.” With a prolonged cough and difficulty breathing, Chase was told that he was having a tough go with pneumonia. He was given antibiotics and sent back home. A week later, we noticed Chase wasn’t getting any better. After an emergency room visit, Chase was shockingly told that he had a 15 cm mass covering 90% of his right lung. He was immediately referred to St. Vincent to be admitted.

<div>Upon a 7-day inpatient stay at St. Vincent with many scans, tests, blood work, and a team working to provide us with answers, we were told that Chase was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer, Synovial Sarcoma.

<div>Chase was diagnosed on February 6th and his team of dedicated doctors have worked incredibly hard to expedite his treatment plan. It’s been decided that Chase will begin chemotherapy on Wednesday, February 12th. Upon completion of his chemotherapy, Chase will also undergo a very extensive surgery. Receiving this news completely shifted our lives. Not only is this the most unimaginable situation for any family, but we were and are continuing to adjust to welcoming our newborn little girl into our family who was just born on January 9th. Overwhelming is an understatement for how we all feel.

<div>For anyone who made it this far into our story, thank you for listening. As we continue to navigate this battle, we’re asking for any and all support that we can gather. Whether that’s financial support for medical expenses, food, and day-to-day needs, spreading the word, or keeping us in your thoughts. We can’t do this alone and we’ve already been shown so much love and care. But this journey has just begun and we know it’s a long road ahead. Any support and generosity is greatly appreciated.
