Friends, I am asking for help in the recovery of my mom, Charlotte. A couple months ago she suffered a fall, catastrophically injuring her knee. This has left her minimally mobile, in nagging pain, and just out of reach of independence, as a result, she has been unable to work or drive. A lot has happened in the brief time since she got hurt, we have moved her out of state from her home into mine, acquired health care, and drawn up a plan for her to get back on her feet. Home physical therapy (provided by myself) has got her to the point where she will soon be ready for surgery, but that will be nowhere near the end of our journey out of mishap.
The costs are beginning to pile up, co-pays, medical equipment, accommodations, treatments, and we haven’t even hit the larger things like the surgery deductible. I am grateful for the opportunity to be there for her “rescue” in this critical time, but I need help. I am asking for your help in raising $6,000 over the next month. 100% of all funds raised will go to her medical treatment, expenses, and this will cover the surgery deductible, and the projected rehab expenses that will be incurred. It is our hope that by next year she will be taking steps (literally and figuratively) towards her getting back on track and helping others.
What is good for one, is good for the all...
For those of you that know Charlotte, you know that she is deserving of your help, and a much needed brake. She ALWAYS gives way more than she receives, takes care of everyone else and puts herself last. Now she can’t even do that. Being beyond grateful for a safe, healing environment provided by people who love her leaves her humble, but feeling like a burden who is lucky to get such treatment. I want her to feel the love from out there in the world, coming to her, showing her that she is worth it, to everyone. Please help her, help me help her, and help someone who is truly a warrior for good.
