<div><strong>Charlotte is my almost 11-year-old Golden Retriever—my soulmate in dog form, the kindest soul you’ll ever meet.</strong> Just this past week, she began showing sudden and alarming signs: difficulty chewing, tongue hanging to one side, stumbling, and losing her balance. After rushing her to a veterinary neurologist, we received devastating news.

<div>Charlotte has been diagnosed with a large, right-sided brainstem mass, most likely a meningioma. This type of brain tumor is not surgically curable due to its location. However, <b>stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT)</b><strong> can offer her more time and improve her quality of life—but it comes at a high cost.</strong>

<div>She is currently being treated with steroids to reduce swelling and inflammation around the tumor, and this has helped temporarily. But without radiation, her condition will progress quickly.

<div>We’ve been advised to schedule a consultation with a radiation oncology team immediately. The cost of the MRI, diagnostics, and current treatment has already been overwhelming, costing me $6,500, and the radiation therapy is estimated to cost roughly $10,500. While I don’t expect to raise the full amount, covering this entirely on my own isn’t possible. Any contributions would help make this treatment a reality for Charlotte and give her the best chance moving forward.
