My name is Charlie and I am a 5-year-old bunny with pneumonia. I went to the doctor on Wednesday, 2/26, and they noticed I had an ear infection and fever. My mommy started giving me antibiotics and nutritional supplements. On Friday night, my world started spinning, and I developed a head tilt as I was trying to stabilize myself. My mommy took me to the ER, and they put me in oxygen, and since I couldn’t eat on my own, they started feeding me via syringe. They said I need a CT scan, but since I’m just a delicate little bunny with pneumonia, I can’t go under anesthesia until I get stronger. To get stronger, I have been transferred from the ER hospital to a bunny specialist for specialized care and attention for the next week. I have a good chance of survival as long as I take the time to rest and get all the antibiotics in so that I can get back to my bunny palace where I can eat all the hay in the world and live for another 3-5 years.
