 Charlie Procella is 13 years old, stands about 6'0", and plays for the Arkansas Hawks Class of 2031. As a 7th grader he already earned junior-varsity minutes at England High School. He is an Honor Roll student who took first place in the Arkansas Stock Market Competition. This past Memorial Day weekend he posted a +42 plus/minus across four tournament games and had a six-steal defensive game against the Southwest Clippers.

 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Those are the easy things to write about him. Here is the part that matters more.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Charlie comes from a family that has carried real weight for three generations. Many of the people closest to him have struggled with addiction and incarceration, and for a long time the road out was not obvious to anyone in the family. Then his older sister became the first person in three generations to graduate high school. Charlie watched that door open, and he decided to walk through it too.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 His mother is a cancer survivor. She beat the disease and now raises her children on a fixed disability income. Charlie also has a younger sibling with special needs who requires extra care. The family works hard every day to cover the basics, and they do it without complaint.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Competitive basketball sits outside the basics. Team dues, tournament entry fees, hotels, travel to events like the JR3SSB championship in Dallas, shoes, gear, and the exposure camps that get a young player seen all cost money this family does not have to spare. That is the only reason this page exists.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Charlie did not choose the easy path. He chose grades, discipline, and the gym. He already has seven 2025 tournament championships and a stack of academic awards to show for it. This fund makes sure the cost of the game is never the reason a kid who is doing everything right has to stop.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Every dollar goes straight to keeping Charlie on the floor and in front of the people who can open the next door for him. If you can give, thank you. If you can share this page instead, that helps just as much.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Charlie is proof that a young person can rise above where he started. Help him keep climbing.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 WHERE THE MONEY GOES
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 A full competitive season costs about $27,000. At the family's direction, this campaign asks for the core season costs: $17,500.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Club and team dues (Arkansas Hawks): $4,500
</div>
<div>
 Tournament entry fees: $6,000
</div>
<div>
 Travel and hotels (out-of-state events): $7,000
</div>
<div>
 Campaign goal (core season): $17,500
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If giving runs past the goal, the next dollars go to exposure camps and showcases ($5,000), skills training and coaching ($2,500), then equipment and gear ($1,500).
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 HOW THE MONEY IS HANDLED
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Donations never pass through the family's household accounts. A trusted adult chosen by the family (the fund steward) receives the GoFundMe transfers and pays the team, tournament, travel, and training providers directly. A simple record of every payment is kept and shared with the family. This keeps everything transparent for donors and protects the family's financial footing.
