<div>My name is Calvin, and I’m the roommate and friend of our favorite DJ mixin’, 3D printin’, rave dancin’, motorcycle enthusiast, Charles. Normally, Charles is the guy bringing laughs, good music, and energy to the room whether he’s behind a set of decks or (briefly) behind a hibachi grill at a birthday party. Unfortunately, I’m writing today because Charles was in a very serious motorcycle accident on Sunday, September 7.

<div>Charles was unconscious at the scene and had to be airlifted to the hospital. The doctors have let us know that Charles sustained extensive injuries, including multiple broken bones, and he is undergoing several complex, hours-long surgeries. While he is stable, he remains only slightly responsive for now, and his recovery will be a long and challenging journey. Right now, we want to rally together and support him and his family in every way we can.

<div>His parents dropped everything to be by his side and are staying in a hotel near the hospital - a two week stay alone is already $3,500, and that’s just the beginning. Between ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and supporting his family during this time, the costs are adding up fast. That’s why we’re setting an initial goal of $10,000 to help cover immediate needs: keeping his parents close by, meals, travel, and supporting Charles through the unknowns ahead. Every dollar will go directly toward Charles’ recovery and his family’s ability to be here with him.

<div>At this time, visitation is limited to family and a few close friends until after surgery, when we can reassess based on Charles’ recovery and wishes. Updates will be shared here by me (Calvin), so that his family can focus fully on Charles without being overwhelmed.
