<div>My name is Charlene Powell Hamilton, and with a heavy heart, I share that my beloved husband, Michael Darrick Hamilton, MD passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2025.

<div>Michael was our anchor, provider, protector, and greatest cheerleader. He lived a life of service as a dedicated physician, always placing his patients and family first. His passing has left our family heartbroken, as we navigate a new reality ...emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

<div>We used nearly all of our savings to care for Michael in his final months. Now, I’m doing everything I can to keep a roof over our heads and build a stable future for our family.

<div><strong>Dr. Michael Darrick Hamilton: A Life of Service</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>Since 1985, Michael Hamilton, MD served as a trusted and beloved physician in South Los Angeles. He opened his private practice with a mission to serve the community. He never turned patients away due to lack of funds, often providing care for free and offering medication samples out of his own resources. His life’s work was defined by humility, compassion, and commitment, not profit.

<div>Michael’s generosity extended well beyond the exam room. Over the years, we welcomed three children into our home after the loss of close relatives, raised them as our own and supported their education through private school and college. He also provided for his mother-in-law and other family members with unwavering dedication.

<div>Because of his lifelong service to others, Michael was never able to build a significant financial reserve. With his unexpected passing, I’ve inherited the full weight of these responsibilities alone.
</div>

<div>Michael was not only our family’s foundation he was a pillar of our community. His kindness, integrity, and healing hands touched generations of lives. I hope that same compassion and care now return to lift us up in our time of need.
