<div>Hi, my name is Charis Alturas and in January 2025 when I finish high school I am going to be going to California to learn more about ministry and then be sent into the nations to go reach people with the gospel! I am getting to go on a DTS (discipleship training school) with Circuit Riders, which is a ministry in the ministry/organization YWAM (Youth With A Mission).  The mission of this ministry is : "Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission."

<div>I’ll spend 3 months in California and then 2 months in outreach! When I am living in California during the 'lecture phase' I will get to live and grow with so many other young adults in the same program! I also will get to grow in fellowship with the team I will be going internationally on outreach with!

<div>When I go on outreach, I will be going with a team of young adults to a nation ( I don't know where I personally am going until I am placed, which happens during the lecture phase in California!) When in this nation, I will get to spend 8 weeks reaching people with the good news of the gospel and being Jesus' hands and feet there! I also will be a part of hosting gatherings to welcome people into worship and hearing more about the gospel and what it means to their lives. I will be learning about worship leading in music throughout this DTS and get to help lead people in worship!
