<div>In May 2022, Chandler found out she was pregnant. 3 days later she miscarried and the Lord gained another heavenly baby. The doctor told her "these things just happen." After many tests, no results came back conclusive.

<div>In January 2024, Chandler found out she was pregnant again. Walking into our 8 week ultrasound, we were so excited to see our baby and hear a heartbeat. To our disappointment, the ultrasound showed Chandler's womb to be empty and she miscarried for almost 2 months.

<div>During the summer of 2024, we found a fertility doctor. After dozens of tests, all the results came back normal and we proceeded to go through 3 failed rounds of IUI.

<div>After many more tests, different doctors, and thousands of dollars, Chandler was diagnosed with endometriosis, a disease that impacts fertility, causes painful periods, and other painful symptoms surrounding other organs. We just learned that 93% of women who have recurrent pregnancy loss have this disease.

<div>Fortunately, we found a endometriosis specialist in St. Louis who has consistently helped other women get to the root cause of their pain and fertility issues. This specialist is at the cutting edge in forwarding women's health. Because of this, his surgical procedures and appointments are not covered by insurance and costs are required upfront. These costs are expected to be ~$15,000.

<div>The surgery will consist of the removal of Chandler's appendix, excision of all endometrial tissue, and the application of amniotic patches on the excision sites to promote healing of the tissue and to prevent the endometrial tissue from coming back. Most specialists will perform recurring surgery over the coarse of a woman's life. This is a huge breakthrough that may only require 1 surgery. There are several pre-op visits before surgery consisting of ultrasounds and blood tests. On top of this, we will need to travel across Missouri to receive care. Chandler will need to stay overnight for the procedure.
