This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’ve always been the kind of person who tries to handle things on my own, but life has a way of testing our pride sometimes.

Back in March, my wife’s 2016 Ford Expedition broke down. We spent several thousand dollars getting it repaired, and for a short time, it was running fine until the timing chain failed. I did my homework and looked into fixing it myself, but it turns out this job requires special tools and experience. The dealership told me the repair could cost anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 money I simply don’t have right now.

I’ve tried everything I could over the past two months to find another way, but things got even tougher when my Jeep broke down just a few days ago. At this point, we’re without reliable transportation for temporary but luckily cost to fix was not that expensive and I realize have only one transportation it’s taken a real toll on my family.

I’m retired and living on a fixed income, so this situation has left me no choice but to humble myself and ask for help. This GoFundMe is my last resort.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward repairing the Expedition so we can have at least working vehicle again. I’ll post regular updates and show exactly where every bit of the money goes. And if the final cost ends up being less than what’s raised, I’ll either refund the difference or pay it forward to someone else facing the same kind of hardship.
