<div>My name is CG (they/them) and I need some help. They say that if you don't find the time to rest, your body will choose it for you - and damn, they're right. Starting this January 2025, I will be in eating disorder recovery treatment (php). It's been a long time coming and I am now physically/mentally incapable of working like I used to.

<div>A little bit about me:
</div>
<div>I am a queer nonbinary Black poet and theatre artist living in Chicago! I have an adorable 15 mo cat named Sunday who is my daughter/emotional support animal. Even before going to treatment, I had decided to take a break from professional theatre to focus on my health and my own art. I recently began working at a dog groomerie in Lincoln Park and I love it! It's through this health insurance that I was finally able to admit myself into eating disorder treatment (my third attempt in one year).

<div>As of January, I am 3 months behind on rent and other bills and will be leaving my current apartment at the end of the month; I simply can't afford it. I am hoping to raise $4,000 to catch up on back-rent/bills and help sustain me for the next 6-8 weeks while in treatment and apartment hunting.

<div>I am currently in ED treatment 7 days a week, 8 hours a day - making it impossible to sustainably have a job. Due to my limited hours at work, there is a big chance that my health insurance will be taken away soon.

<div>I'm low-contact with my family and they are unable to help me out financially. This campaign is meant to keep me and my darling cat Sunday from being permanently homeless. While in treatment, I am searching for roommates in Chicago as well as jobs for when I am out of EDT. I have no clear date for when that will be, unfortunately. All of my things are packed away in storage and I will be warming the couches of a lot of amazing people.
