I am creating this GoFundMe page on behalf of my son-in-law, Cary Guill, and my daughter, Bethany Catron Guill. Life has thrown more than the usual challenges at my children. Despite their combined determination and strength, serious medical issues have created an overwhelming financial burden—one they simply can't overcome alone.

 Cary has been bravely undergoing treatment for Stage 4 prostate cancer, while continuing to run his own business, which provides hood cleaning services for local restaurants, The Homestead resort, and Hotel Roanoke. Although he employs several workers, Cary is a hands-on owner who prides himself on delivering superior results to his clients. He goes to work every day, whether he feels like it or not, because people depend on him. He refuses to let this illness stop him from honoring his obligations to customers, employees, or his family. Meanwhile, Bethany has endured both spinal surgery and procedures on both hands, leaving her unable to work frequently and contribute to the income critical for household expenses and paying their combined medical debt. Their insurance coverage has been minimal, and bills for medication, follow-up care, and lost work income continue to grow. No matter how hard they struggle, they cannot escape the cycle of medical debt without help. My heart is breaking for both of them, which is why I am reaching out to friends, family, and business associates to ask for your support. At 78, my fixed income is almost completely used for my own expenses, and I don't know where else to turn.

 Bethany and Cary both serve as clowns for the Kazim Shrine in the Roanoke Valley. If you have ever attended a community parade or seen the work they do to comfort children in local hospitals, you might know them as Care Bear and Glitter Bug. They have dedicated so much of their time and compassion to others in need, and I am praying that they will now be blessed by the humanity of others to help them through this crisis.
