My name is Carol, and I’m reaching out for support as I recover from a series of major health challenges. Over the past months, I’ve undergone heart valve surgery, lung surgery, and chemotherapy. These treatments have taken a toll on my body and my finances, leaving me with mounting daily living costs and medical bills. I’m also facing the added expense of gas for frequent medical appointments, which has made it even harder to keep up.

 Before these health issues, I was receiving social security disability and now I’m on full retirement age social security. The transition has been difficult, and my current benefits don’t cover all the expenses that have accumulated during my recovery. My children have their own lives, jobs, and bills to pay, so I’m handling most things on my own right now. Despite these challenges, I’m determined to get back to work when my health improves and my body is stronger.
