Support Carmine's Fight Against Throat Cancer

The Bellafronte family is in need of prayers and support during this very difficult time. In the beginning of July, Carmine was diagnosed with throat cancer. Shortly afterwards, he fell ill of an infection in his blood and had an extended hospital stay and went home on IV antibiotics. A couple weeks later, the infection was back with a vengeance and he was admitted again. The infection prolonged the start of treatment but he did finally have surgery on 8/5/24. Surgery came with complications. The doctor said it was the most complicated neck surgery he's ever done.

They found the source of the cancer in the tonsil and removed it. When they opened the neck, the infection made things difficult and they couldn't tell cancer from infection. It had intertwined in some nerves so they had to remove one that controls a shoulder muscle and another that controls part of the vocal cord along with the internal jugular. He will need physical therapy to relearn how to use his right arm again. Because of the infection and the lymph nodes, he will need 6 weeks of chemo and radiation.

Outside of this horrible disease they also have a special needs toddler that needs 24/7 care and 2 teenagers getting ready to start back to school. Donating would allow Kelly to breathe a little bit and hopefully allow her to take off work with ease to be where she needs to be.
