For years, the Campbell High School Spartans Football Program has struggled to build a competitive legacy. But now there is a renewed focus, a determined coaching staff, and a culture shift that prioritizes discipline, hard work, and unity. The Spartans are setting their sights on becoming a championship-caliber team.

At the heart of this transformation is a leadership group committed to instilling a winning mindset in its players. Head coach Jeff Phillips has brought a fresh vision to the program, emphasizing player development, strength and conditioning, and a team-first mentality. The coaching staff is focused on building not just talented athletes, but well-rounded young men who excel both on and off the field.

In the last two years, the program has demonstrated remarkable progress, making the playoffs in 2023 and having their first winning season since 2007 in 2024. The Spartans also had 13 athletes sign letters of intent to play in college next year; the most of any school in Cobb County. Along with that, here are just a few more notable successes the program has had this past season:

To continue fostering this positive momentum, retain the talent that is in our community, and compete with other programs in our area, facility upgrades are a must, something that has been significantly neglected over the past 30 years. The immediate focus is our fieldhouse/locker room facilities. Modern, secure lockers are essential for our athletes to store their equipment safely and to build a sense of pride and unity within the team. Unbeknownst to many, the County does not fund athletic programs within the schools, which means that the football program relies heavily upon fundraising and sponsorships for support.

To that end, we are seeking to raise $75,000 to fund this project and need your support! Your generous contribution will directly impact our student-athletes by providing them with the necessary resources to excel both on and off the field.

Donations can be made via GoFundMe and are tax-deductible. Donors of $500 and more will be prominently recognized through various channels, including on-field banners. Sponsors will also receive visibility on the team’s official website and social media platforms, ensuring ongoing digital exposure. Additional recognition opportunities may include logo placements in the Spartans' media guide and other promotional materials.

While the road to a championship isn’t easy, the foundation is being laid for sustained success. Keep an eye on the Spartans, because this is only the beginning of something special.
