Support Cowboy Camp David in Port A
Donation protected
On the evening of August 25, 2017, the strongest hurricane to hit the Coastal Bend in decades began a night of destruction. The stories following that night have been nothing short of inspiring--neighbor helping neighbor and strangers helping strangers.
Camp David began in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey as Corpus Cristi/PortAransas locals, Captain David C. Heasley Jr, and photographer Jon Steele, a giant van, a smoker, and 32 briskets. In the 2 weeks since, these men have yet to go home, remaining here to help those hardest hit and those helping them. It has become the hub of the Port Aransas recovery efforts for first responders and residents alike.
Feeding an army takes an army. David and his camp will remain in Port Aransas helping to bring a little comfort to this hard-hit community as long as he can, but he needs help affording it.
Your donation will go toward feeding people who have lost everything and providing them momentary relief in the form of a hot meal. It will also help feed the people working in the heat and mosquitos to clean up and rebuild this incredible beach town. Funds will be deposited to a business account at th local branch of Valuebank Texas and disbursed as necessary from there.
Camp David is #TexasStrong and we need your help to keep it going!
