<div>I have been working over the last several years to be as independent in handling all of these demands while my quality of life has rapidly declined in recent months.

<div>This school year, I have had a great deal of difficulty supporting myself financially. Chronic illness fluctuates day to day and you never know when your body will cooperate. Due to my gastroparesis, I became malnourished and very, very unwell. I have had to take time off in the last few months to have an NJ tube placed, which later was replaced by a surgical GJ tube. I also have to travel for a few of my treatments every couple of months. I have had two fun plot twists that include being unemployed for a period and having my car (which I still owe money on) suddenly die.

<div>I am living on my own this summer while I complete an internship to be able to finish my bachelor's degree in Political Science this December. I have been able to maintain being on the Dean’s list and will be finished in 2.5 years.
