<div>I've been keeping a traumatic event from literally everyone in my life, but now I need help, desperately. I don't mean to alarm people… I AM OKAY… but I was attacked on April 11 at 9am by a stranger.

<div>Ruby () and I have been staying in our car in between apartments. A man I never met mistook me for someone else, but he seemed nice enough, and he helped me repair a leaking car hose. As the day progressed, he started talking to demons and voices that were not there. I told him it was time to go, but he shoved me down in my car and attempted to assault me. I fought him off and locked me and Ruby in the car. The man pulled up a mattress and camped out by my car overnight.

<div>The next morning, when I saw people milling about, I opened the door and told him there was nothing between us, etc. And I locked myself in again. He proceeded to rip the air valve from my tire and walk away. I gave chase after securing Ruby in the car.

<div>I had my pepper spray in my hand with my finger on the trigger and my phone in my hand with 911 typed in and my thumb on send. I went towards the spot where I knew he stayed, alongside the freeway. He came after me with a large metal shovel. I unloaded the entire can of pepper spray on him, but he was a psychotic person with coke-bottle glasses. He beat my hands until he gained my spray and my phone.

<div>What proceeded was an attack (uninterrupted by passersby in rush hour traffic) that involved 22 blows via shovel to my head and body. I escaped with 3 broken fingers, 2 black eyes, bruising on my cheekbone, and a concussion. When being loaded into the ambulance, I realized my car key had fallen out of my pocket during the attack.

<div>I was extremely concerned for my dog, and the police had to break a window to extract her from my car when it started getting hot. They took her to a shelter while I was hospitalized, but we are reunited and surviving. I've secured us housing and we're trying to move past this event. For anyone judging me for going after him, when I found him he was already walking back towards my car with the shovel, so what I did might have saved Ruby's life, or prevented my injuries from being worse.

<div>Now I need help, of 2 varieties. <strong>I need this guy caught before he attacks someone with a not-so-thick skull.</strong> Also, I would hope to get my phone and car key from him. The cops have really tried and gone above and beyond with my case. I am including his description below. <div>Not having my car key has meant splitting my time between housing and the car to prevent theft of my belongings and the vehicle itself. Luckily, I made a friend who has been helping to keep me &amp; Ruby and our vehicle safe. But this is obviously not ideal for any length of time. I need to repair the window, get my ignition re-keyed, and repair the tire.

<div>The biggest issue though, has been my phone. My life is on that phone. I have Find My Device via 3 different services, but the phone has not been turned on. I can't log in to any of my content creation sites to pull money I've already earned or to earn more money, because 2-factor Auth goes to my stolen phone. I can't access my storage unit because Bluetooth unlocking is linked to that phone. I can't even log in to some socials. I have insurance on my phone, but I can't afford the $180 deductible. And I can't transfer my service to my old phone because I now have a past due balance. I have a lifeline phone that is basically good for texting and calls but not much else.

<div>Update, my car was impounded with a large amount of my possessions in it. It's actually illegal to tow a perceived domicile, but the power of a few Karen neighbors is no match for my rights. So add getting updated registration and impound fees. I'll let the car go if I have to, but I put so much work into it.
