His partner, Bond, a gifted piano teacher and university professor, has inspired countless students—whether through piano lessons in his home studio or teaching French and literature at UCLA and Pepperdine.

<div>Together, Bruce and Bond have built a life grounded in kindness, learning, and creativity. Tragically, their home was completely destroyed in the Malibu/Palisades fire on January 7. Among the losses were Bond’s two cherished pianos, irreplaceable books, treasured art, and all of their belongings.
